Lose 5 Pounds a Week: Follow the 10 Healthy Habits to Cut Your Body Fat

Being obese or simply over weight are not only physically damaging to your health, they also affect your psychology and can at time lead to depression. Thus losing weight becomes very important and vital for
over-weight people and they, like me, are always on the hunt to find ways, diets and exercises to lose their pounds. We’ve come up with very easy and effective habits that if altered, can help you lose from 5 to 20 pounds a week depending on how religiously you follow the steps.
1. Sweet, low calorie foods!
Fill your fridge with stomach-filling foods, fruits and items that are low in calories, do not give you fat and are tasty. Items like berries, yoghurt, vegetable, soups etc are some examples.
2. Lukewarm water!
Drink lukewarm water first thing after you wake up. The lukewarm water helps cut your stomach fat really fast.
3. Green/Black Tea
Drink green tea without sugar. Koutea is said to be a very effective mixture of the famous four teas: Green tea, Oolong tea, Pu-erh and White tea. Each ingredient has a property of its own and all of them together help in improved blood circulation, reduction in cholesterol levels and removal of free-radicals from the body.



4. Water before dinner:
Do not drink water immediately after finishing your dinner. Either have water before dinner, or wait at least half hour before having another glass after dinner. Having water before dinner will also make your stomach feel fuller and you will eventually eat less during your meal.
5. Divide and conquer:
Divide your food intake throughout the day into at least 5 small meals and distribute them evenly. This way you will not eat too much in a single meal and overall reduce your intake of calories in a day.
6. Walking:
Take a walk. Early morning walks are the best. But you can choose any time of the day and do at least half hour of brisk walking daily. Either going to work or coming back from work, but keep the walk in your schedule so that your body is toned up and you stay active all day.
7. Love the stairs
If you are working in a multi-storey office, or live in a two-storey house, consider yourself lucky. Take the stairs as much as you can during the day and stay away from the lift or the escalator. This will give you the exercise that you can’t otherwise do by going to a gym.
8. Watch the booze:
You think partying helps? One innocent-looking margarita can gift you up to hundreds of calories that do nothing to quench your appetite, instead make you hungry! So stay away from it.
9. Chew gum!
Chew on a sugar free gum daily, especially if you start feeling hungry. It will keep your mouth busy, that will trick your stomach into believing its getting food and your hunger will subside automatically!
10. Love Blue!
Bring the color blue in your life. There’s a good reason you won’t see many fast-food restaurants decorated in blue, they are mostly red, orange or yellow. Believe it or not, the color blue functions as an appetite suppressant. So serve dinner on blue plates, dress in blue while you eat, and cover your table with a blue tablecloth.
